Finally - knitting content
I'm done with the third second sock! I am so happy with how the stripes lined up, it's just about perfect.
(ignore the cankles)
I am way to incompetent lazy to kitchner the toes, so I did a three needle bind-off, but other than that I tried to follow the directions faithfully. As usual, Kathy's pattern is spot on. I can't wait to find just the right yarn for her Odessa cap. (Sorry - I am too tired to find the link right now, it's on magknits.com)

Great socks Kris! You must have some serious knitting mojo going on--I can't believe how well those stripes match. ;-)
Wow...the matching is incredible! Congratulations!
Nice Socks! Now that compliment was genuine, but some how feels tarnished due to commercials for khaki pants? Strange world/mind.
What I don't get is how you can start and stop - or in your words knit three socks - and work with different balls, but still end up with great looking socks with nicely matched pattern. Blows my mind. But then again, as a non-knitter much seems foreign to me.
What does that make me if I don't knit but look at a knitting blog? Can knitters have groupies or fan clubs? Should I refer to you as a knitter or would Needle Idol or Knit Star be better? hmm...
Also what is a "cankle"? I am assuming that was some form of self criticism for your ankles? If I am correct, I would respond with - knock it off! We are who we are and all is well.
I think getting comments to a blog is much like getting a personal note or a letter in the mail. There is a little ego stroking involved, but more so it is just feeling part of something and connected to someone else. I jump for joy when I get something in the mail from someone else. So enjoy the comments, leave many yourself, and don't think twice about craving the smile they can bring.
Cheers,
Pumpkin Mover
Love the socks - congratulations on the matching. That in and of itself is quite an accomplishment!
